Marie is a Yoga Teacher and trainee Yoga Therapist with The Minded Institute. Marie is passionate about exploring movement and supporting the nervous system. She is dedicated to journaling and loves incorporating tools of enquiry into her classes and workshops. 

What I do

Marie comes all the way from the North of Scotland but has been here with us in Norwich and sharing yoga since 2019. She teaches group yoga classes at The Yoga Studio Norwich, The Yoga Tree and The Painted Barn. She also offers tailored 1-1 sessions for clients and is passionate about supporting people on their individual path. 

Marie originally trained in India (200 hours) and has since trained in many other disciplines of yoga, allowing her to discover her passion for teaching Vinyasa and Yin. “My classes are about reconnecting with your body and tending to your nervous system.” In her classes Marie combines the elements of movement, stillness, breath, and self-reflection. 

Marie’s passion to support people’s physical and mental health and their relationship with body, breath, and mind, has led her towards training as a Yoga Therapist. Marie hopes to work with people to reduce or manage suffering and promote health and wellbeing through the application of the principles and practices of Yoga. 

What Marie loves about Norfolk…

“I love being able to live in a city where I can walk or cycle everywhere. I love bumping into familiar faces, Saturdays at the market and meeting friends for coffee, drinks, or food at all the amazing independent businesses we have here in the city. After living in Italy for six years I also don’t like being too far from the coast and was blown away by the beauty of the Norfolk coastline!”
