Melissa is a Mum of 3 boys, lives in Swaffham and has lived in Norfolk her whole life.

Mel began her  career in accountancy at 19, shortly after having her first son. She completed a distance learning course through her workplace over 3 years and qualified as a Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) in 2009.

Her ambition shortly turned to starting her own business after working in a local accountancy practice for 13 years. Mel really enjoyed working in the practice and gained a lot of valuable experience but found it quite impersonal. She wanted to be able to get to know her clients and their businesses and be able to provide much more than just a year end set of accounts!

Once you meet Mel, it is clear from the offset that she has such passion for accountancy and adores her work. She has now found a suitable work/life balance and can provide excellent references from around the county from sole traders to Company Directors of SMEs.

Mel and her family are big Norwich City Football fans, with 3 young inspiring footballers, spending most of her free time on the side of a football pitch! Mel can also play the piano, albeit a talent that has been bypassed due to life’s busy scedhule. When Melissa isn’t surrounded in Company accounts, she does spend an evening or two playing multi-sports at a local Rabble group!

What Mel loves about Norfolk…

“There’s plenty of countryside to explore with the family, you’re never too far away from the city for football and entertainment! Norfolk has some amazing beaches only a short drive away, helps us to unwind on a summer evening or to blow the cobwebs away in the winter!”
